The VIQUA PRO50 is the highest-flow single-lamp system in VIQUA’s Professional series. It suits light commercial buildings and large properties that need up to 50 gpm of ultraviolet (UV) disinfection. VIQUA validated it in accordance with the USEPA UV Disinfection Guidance Manual (UVDGM 2006) to inactivate Cryptosporidium and Giardia.
On VIQUA’s product page the PRO50 is rated at 50 gpm (189 lpm) at a 40 mJ/cm² dose, 65 gpm (245 lpm) at 30 mJ/cm² and 110 gpm (415 lpm) at 16 mJ/cm². The spec sheet gives validated flows at 75% UV transmittance of up to 51.2 gpm for 3.0-log Cryptosporidium and Giardia credit.
It uses one high-output amalgam lamp rated for up to two years inside a 316L stainless steel chamber with 2 in. MNPT ports. A UV sensor monitors lamp output and a CoolTouch fan keeps the chamber cool. The sleeve locks with a quarter turn and an optional solenoid valve can stop the water if treatment is compromised. The chamber must be installed vertically.

Maintenance
Replace the 602856 UV lamp every two years (18,000 hours) when the controller alarms. Inspect and clean the 602976 quartz sleeve at each lamp change and replace it if it cannot be cleaned. Keep the 5 micron sediment pre-filter changed.
