Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water Systems for North Okanagan Homes

A reverse osmosis system under your kitchen sink gives you filtered drinking water on tap. We test your water first, then recommend and install the system that suits it.

Is reverse osmosis right for your water?

RO pushes water through a fine membrane that holds back dissolved solids along with most taste and odour problems. It treats the water at one tap, usually the kitchen sink.

A good fit when

You want better tasting water for drinking and cooking

A water test shows high total dissolved solids (TDS)

Your home has a water softener and you want low-sodium drinking water

You are tired of buying bottled water

Pair it with another system for

Hard water and scale through the house: Water Softeners

Bacteria in a private well: UV Purification

Iron or a sulphur smell: Backwashing Filters & Cartridges

How a reverse osmosis system works

1. Pre-filters

Sediment and carbon cartridges catch particles and chlorine before they reach the membrane.

2. RO membrane

Water is pushed through a semi-permeable membrane that holds back dissolved solids. Filtered water goes to a small storage tank, or straight to the faucet on tankless models.

3. Post-filter

A final carbon filter polishes the taste on the way to its own faucet at your sink.

Reverse osmosis questions

How often do RO filters need changing?

Pre-filters typically need changing every 6 to 12 months and the membrane every two to five years. Your water and how much you use set where you land in that range.

Does reverse osmosis remove minerals?

Yes, along with most dissolved solids. If you prefer mineralized water, an alkaline post-filter adds calcium and magnesium back after the membrane.

Do I need a storage tank?

Most under-sink systems store filtered water in a small tank. Tankless models such as the CRO-800UX6 deliver it on demand and free up cabinet space.

What areas do you serve?

Vernon, Armstrong, Enderby, Salmon Arm, Shuswap, Kamloops, Grindrod, Mara, Sicamous, Lumby, Nakusp, Oyama, Winfield, Kelowna, Peachland, Summerland, Penticton and Osoyoos.
